SAVE – Information for Applicants: Verification of Immigration Status and How to Correct your Record with USCIS
As of November 17, 2019 Central Health Eligibility can no longer use SAVE to verify if client has a sponsor.
If the client knows who their sponsor is and they provide the sponsor’s name, accept the client’s statement as long as the code matches what the client is stating.
If the code on the LPR does not match what the client is saying, inform the client. If the client insists that the code is incorrect or that the person he stated is the sponsor ask the client to provide the Affidavit of Support with the sponsor’s name.
Individuals with certain codes may have self-petitioned therefore not considered sponsored. If the individual states they are not sponsored have the client complete the Self-Declaration of No Sponsorship for Legal Permanent Residents form stating they are not sponsored.
