  • This policy has different requirements than MAP
    • Sponsor’s income is not counted
    • Proof requirements are different
    • Household must be at or below 200% of the FPL
  • Missing Paycheck Stubs
Client must have at least one paycheck stub dated within the last 4 weeks for MAP BASIC. Example client brings in one paycheck stub from HEB but does not have the other three paystubs received during the last 4 weeks.
  • Client has two options:
    • Return with missing paycheck stubs
    • Calculate the missing income using the rate of pay x 40 hours.
  • New Income-Earned income that started less than 4 weeks prior to interview (MAP and MAP BASIC)
    • Received
      • Use the income from the paycheck stubs received
      • Calculate the future income using the rate of pay multiplied by the number of hours clients states they will work
    • Not Received
      • Calculate income using the rate of pay multiplied by the number of hours the client states they will work.
  • Issuing MAP BASIC Retro coverage for a clinic visit:
    • Effective 7/22/2019 income for 30 days prior to date of service is no longer required
    • 4/1/2019-7/21-2019 income for 30 days prior to effective date of coverage
