MAP Transition to Sendero IdealCare

OPEN ENROLLMENT FOR 2022 COVERAGE:

The next open enrollment period will be: November 1, 2021-December 15, 2021

  • ALL clients who are identified as eligible for ACA Marketplace coverage will be required to attend an enrollment appointment:
    • ACA Marketplace Screening and enrollment with Foundation Communities (up to 3 hours)
      • Clients who do not attend this appointment will not be eligible for CHAP coverage OR MAP coverage due to non-compliance.
  • ALL current CHAP clients who wish to re-enroll in CHAP for 2020 will be required to attend an ACA Marketplace re-enrollment appointment with Foundation Communities
    • Clients who do not attend a re-enrollment appointment with Foundation Communities will not be eligible for CHAP due to non-compliance and will be responsible to pay their 2020 insurance premiums

Current  CHAP Clients Update

  • Clients need to report any changes to the Marketplace in regards to income, address, and family size.
  • As long as clients continue to be enrolled in an IdealCare Silver 87 or 94 plan, their CHAP coverage will be extended.
  • A new card will be mailed to all CHAP members who continue to be enrolled in an eligible plan.

Reference Points:

  • Clients have been identified as being potentially eligible to receive tax credits and cost sharing subsidies through the Health Insurance Marketplace.
  • Clients must continue to meet MAP eligibility requirements in order to remain eligibile for the Central Health Assistance Program.
  • Clients will no longer be eligible for MAP medical benefits.
  • Clients will remain eligible for MAP BASIC dental benefits.
  • Client MUST file an income tax return in order to qualify for tax credits and cost sharing subsidies  through the Health Insurance Marketplace.
  • Client must apply and qualify for tax credits and cost sharing subsidies through the Health Insurance Markerplace in order to be eligible for the new Central Health Assistance Program.
  • If client chooses to enroll into Sendero Health Plans’ IdealCare Silver Plan; and qualifies for a health plan with reduced insurance deductibles.
    • The Central Health Assistance Program will assist qualified clients with monthly insurance premium.
  • There will be different term dates for everyone depending on when they are eligible for Medicaid, Medicare, or reach their 5 years as an LPR.
  • If a client wants to cancel their Sendero Idealcare coverage please refer them to the Marketplace 1-800-318-2596. Do not refer to Sendero.

Invoices

  • IdealCare Members who were transitioned from MAP will have a $0 balance on their monthly invoice.
  • If clients are receiving invoices with a balance other than $0, ask them for the Invoice # located on the top right hand corner of the invoice and email this information to bpteam@centralhealth.net

All member service questions about the IdealCare product will be answered by the Customer Service Representative at IdealCare Customer Service at 1-844-800-4693.
